So Mrs. Kamp spent this past weekend playing in an alumni concert back at the University of Rhode Island where she got her undergraduate Music Education Degree back in 2005. It's amazing to get the opportunity to go back on stage with your friends from college and see where everyone is teaching and performing now! Here's a glimpse into what a college alumni concert looks like.......

There's lots to see and learn on each class' individual music webpage!!
Check out the new links below for weekly updates about our Composer of the Month, Buzzword, and "Building Blocks of Success" Programs. Then be sure to head on over to the individual programs that your child is involved in for information and updates about all that is going on in the music room. I'll be updating the curriculum covered in each class monthly as well as songs we are learning and all sorts of other interesting information about the music program. Check out my blog here and be sure to sign up for RSS Feeds so that you receive a notification on your Feed Reader when each update is posted (don't have a feed reader...Feedly or RSS Bot are two I'm trying)
The game zone has some supplemental music enrichment and the "Resources" section has information about the benefits of music study and helpful websites to ensure your child gets the most out of their participation in the Music Program. The Buzzword and Composer Archives will help you review all the exciting things we've learned throughout the year. Our "Instrument Pages" have detailed information about the different instruments offered in the Fourth through Sixth Grade Instrumental Music Program.

Music Around Our Country and the World
Throughout their time in Amagansett School, students will explore music from all different countries, cultures, and communities.
