Mrs. Kamp :) I just wanted to let everyone know that the January Music Curriculum Guides have been posted online in case you are interested in learning a little more about what your child is learning about in the various areas of the music program. The easiest way to find the curriculum guide for the program that your child participates in is to go to the "About" tab at the top of the page (or click here) and then click on your child's grade level and / or performance music ensemble. From there, you will see a green button somewhere at the top of the class home page that will say "Monthly Curriculum Overviews." Clicking that green button will take you to the Curriculum Overviews for your child's program. New curriculum guides will be posted each month :)
Congratulations to Sixth Grader Dylan (6) on her fantastic performance as part of this weekend's HMEA (Hamptons Music Educator's Association) Regional Festival! It was an outstanding weekend of music making by some of the finest young musicians in the Hamptons and I am so proud that our student was able to be a part of it! Interacting with these wonderful musicians and seeing Amagansett Students and Alumni in action has also inspired me to update our Music Website. Check out our Alumni Page and let's build the Amagansett Community long past Sixth Grade Graduation :)

From time to time I receive emails and notices about musical opportunities available on the East End of Long Island (and sometimes beyond.) I haven't thought of a place to store this information on the website yet, so I thought I might begin sharing these announcements via the Music Blog for now :)
