This is it, the big week is here...musical week!! Our bi-annual all school winter musical, "The Big Chill" is this Tuesday night, December 20th at 6:00 PM. All of the children are sooo excited to share all of their hard work with you! Click here and find out more information about your child's part in the big show!
This week, volunteer students from the Third through Sixth Grade Chorus will be traveling to the East Hampton Senior Nutrition Center to spread some holidya cheer by caroling during their lunch program. This trip is always a big hit with the students and the seniors and I can't wait to go visit again. I am so proud that so many of our students have volunteered to dedicate their recess period next Wednesday to sharing the msuic of the season with others and bringing a smile to the seniors at the center. There's still time to sign up for the trip if you have not done so yet. Click here to download a copy of the permission slip and hand it back to Mrs. Kamp by TOMORROW, TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20th, if you would like to join us.

In other news.....
The Buzzword last week was RITARDANDO and it means: "a gradual decrease in tempo." Due to all of the special holiday events planned this week, there will be no Buzzword. Check back after vacation to start playing the game again :)
We continue to salute this month's "Maestro of the Month" is Ludwig van Beethoven as we listen to his music and learn facts about his life before our play practices. Check your child's go home folder for this month's composer fact sheet as well as the directions for how to become a "music detective" and have their work featured on the bulletin board outside the music classroom and on the Music Website! Thank you to Bella (2), Noelly (2), Macy (2), and Hope (3) for becomming music detectives and submitting the first Beethoven Facts for our bulletin board last week.
Thanks for reading. I hope you are all enjoying this special weekly glimpse into the music room and that it is inspiring you to talk about music with your children and further explore the music website.
Don't forget to stay connected by joining our Music Department Google Calendar and our Remind App reminders for Beginning and Concert Band Students.
Hope to see you all at our upcoming productions as we ring in the season by sharing some musical holiday cheer!
Mrs. Kamp :)
