- The Kindergarteners stole the show with their "star moment songs: "Suzie Snowflake" and "If I Could Fly Like a Snowflake" and everyone LOVED their snowflake suits!!
- The First and Second Graders rocked the house with their "star moment song:" "Snowman Choir" and everyone LOVED their snowman suits!!
- The Third Graders taught us all about the differances in American winter weeather with their "star moment song:" "Winter in America" and everyone LOVED their very creative dance moves!!
- The Fourth Graders did a wonderful job with their "star moment song:" "Winter Fun" and everyone LOVED the creativity they showed in their skits during the song!!
- The Fifth and Sixth Graders were AMAZING with all of their lines, songs, and chorepography coming together perfectly. And an extra big special shout-out to Cliare (grade 6) on a wonderful solo during "Seven Feet of Snow!!"
The students and I would like to send some special Thank yous out to everyone who made this production possible:
- To the Amagansett School Board and all of our Administrators, thank you for supporting music and arts education in our school.
- To Mr. Grille and Mr. Griffiths, thank you for all of your help in setting up the stage and the gym, moving furniture and scenery, making the lighting and sound work, and creating our magical snowfall for the big finale.
- To Mrs. Hren, thank you for all of your work as our Choreographer. We LOVED our dance moves!!
- To Ms. Paris, thank you for our beautiful scenery! You and the students from Sceneery Workshop always create such a magical transformation for our stage and it gets better each time!!
- To Mrs. Quarty and Mrs. Butts, thank you for helping print out the prgrams, get notes home to our parenst, and take care of phone calls and passing on inflormation! We couldn't do it without you!!
- To our Junior Choreographer, Lua (grade 6), and our Junior Director, Iona (grade 6), thank you for being wonderfully helpful and wanting to be a part of the big show eventhough you were unable to make the final performance! Your creativity, comments, and direction were very helpful to everyone involved.
- To all of the teachers at the Amagansett School, especailly everyone who volunteered their time last night to come chaperone and help us get our costumes on and props ready, thank you for always supporting everything we do and broadening our education through special experiences like this one.
- To all of our parents and family members, thank you for always supporting everything we do!! We hope you loved the show and had as much fun watching it as we had putting it on!!
I can't wait to get back from vacation and watch the video of the show together so that we can critique our own work. It's going to be pretty exciting to be able to see yourself on stage :)
