Our Weekly Info: | The Buzzword for this week was ETUDE and it means: "A French word meaning study. It is an instrumental musical composition usually short and of considerable difficulty and designed to provide practice material for perfecting a particular musical skill." Thank you to Lola (2), Nathan (4), Macy (3), and Willow (2) for playing last week's Buzzword Game!! Our new Buzzword is MAJOR SCALE. Do you know what that means? Can you find the answer? If you would like to pay the Buzzword game this week, remember...you can check the Buzzword board and get a card or print one off the website HERE...looking forward to playing this game and watching your musical vocabularies grow every week!!! October has brought us a brand new Composer of the Month, Franz Liszt. Thank you to Alexander (K) and Hope (4) for being our first October Music detectives!!. You can see the facts that they learned about Mr. Liszt on display outside the music room or on the home page of this website :) Check your child's go home folder for this month's composer fact sheet as well as the directions for how to become a "music detective" and have their work featured on the bulletin board outside the music classroom and on the Music Website! |
