Our Weekly Info | The Buzzword for this week was ARTICULATION and it means: "How certain notes or passages are sung or played, for example...legato, staccato, etc." If you would like to lpay the Buzzword game this week, remember...you can check the Buzzword board and get a card or print one off the website HERE...looking forward to playing this game and watching your musical vocabularies grow every week!!! October has brought us a brand new Composer of the Month, Franz Liszt. I can't wait to see your classes and begin sharing his wonderful music with you all. You can see the facts that they learned about Mr. Liszt on display outside the music room or on the home page of this website :) Check your child's go home folder for this month's composer fact sheet as well as the directions for how to become a "music detective" and have their work featured on the bulletin board outside the music classroom and on the Music Website! |
General and Performance Music
In the Performance Music world, all of our instrumental lessons and band classes are now back up and running. I am soo excited to get this year started and can't wait to hear all of your improvement and growth as we progress through the year. Preperation for our Holiday Concert in December as well as some other exciting musical presentations has now begun!! Parents, it might be a good idea to save your child's band webpage so you can reference it for important information including practice sheets, band repertoire play alongs, the instrumental program google calendar, and, my favorite, our Remind App :)
Don't forget to stay connected by joining our Music Department Google Calendar and our Remind App reminders for Beginning and Concert Band Students.
