Music classes are currently being held OUTSIDE on the FIELD. We've been incredibly luck with the weather this far, but we plan to continue OUTDOOR MUSIC AS LONG AS POSSIBLE!! Parents, please help your child have the most wonderful time in music class by helping them come to school prepared for any sort or outdoor weather.....coats, hats, warm shoes...even gloves or mittens might be a good idea to have in their backpacks and available just in case.

String Classes:
Kindergarteners and First Graders have also been making fantastic progress in string class and just this past week began playing the real violin!!!!
Parents and parent involvement is an essential part of a students success in music, particularly in the Suzuki style of teaching. Although we can't have parents attend each and every one of our class meetings, it will be very important for your child's success that they begin practicing at home and that they see you excited and enthusiastic about all of their violin playing.
Violin practice homework will be posted weekly in the music Google Classroom. THERE IS NOTHING TO SUBMIT on Google Classroom...this is just a little extra way to help you remember what you should be practicing each night. Aim for 15 - 20 minutes of violin practice each night for the most success!!!
Be sure to check your child's string class page often. I will be posting videos, handouts, songs, and other helpful materials there for each of our classes to help build this bridge from violin at school to violin at home!
